Begin Again

I saw this last week and thought: "Ah! So good!"

Louise's words hit a mark (possibly because I've been feeling way off balance!)
& because I'd really like to "begin again" but I think I'm getting in my own way. (!)

Braided Trim

I want to add some braided trim (a little rustic, not too nautical) to an upholstery project.  I couldn't find what I was looking for online or in the stores (too fancy or too rustic).

Some laundry cord, an hour with Nate Berkus, and here it is:

The plan is to add some fabric protector...outside!  :)

...and add the trim to this bench:

Loft and Cottage is one of my favorite "go-to" blogs.  Last week, when I entered the Windows by Melissa  pillow cover giveaway I thought "Oo, I've always loved that fabric!"
